Satakunta Museum

A fascinating glimpse into local history over the millennia.

The Satakunta Museum is a cultural history museum with exhibitions on three floors that explore local history, phenomena and life from prehistory to the present day. The museum is located near the historic town of Kivi-Pori, on the banks of the Kokemäenjoki River. The museum’s café offers a spectacular view of the river landscape.

The Satakunta Museum is a family destination with things to see, do and explore for visitors of all ages! You can take a peek into homes from different eras, explore the changes in Pori’s urban landscape, admire costumes from the Iron Age to the 20th century, play shop, drive little cars through the streets of Pori and even plough a field with a horse – or almost!
