Pori Art Museum is located at the banks of Kokemäenjoki river in a historical customs warehouse built in 1860. Pori Art Museum is famous for its exhibitions of international contemporary art. Pori Art Museum introduces the latest trends in Finnish and international art. The educational services are for customers of all ages and help to find new ways to approach art and visual culture.

Until the turn of the year 2022-2023, exhibitions are organised in the smaller galleries beside the lobby area while the large galleries are under renovation.

  • Pori Art Museum was established in 1981 around the art collection of Professor Maire Gullichsen. The collection of the Maire Gullichsen Art Foundation is not permanently on display.

  • Tuesdays to Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

    Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Free entry on Wednesdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Free guided tour in finnish on Wednesdays at 6 p.m.

    Closed on Mondays.

    Public holidays and the changing of exhibitions may entail changes to the opening hours.
