Kuukkarin Wanhat Talot 9/6/2024

Kuukkarin Wanhat Talot (KWT), an event of old houses in Kuukkari neighbourhood, where the residents of Kuukkari open their doors for the visitors. The destinations are mostly old wood houses built in the late 19^th and early 20^th centuries. The event essentially includes pop-up cafés, musical events, yard sales, dining, vintage cars etc. on the residents’ yards, at their gates, and in the parks of the district. The event also includes the building culture house Rakennuskultturitalo Toivo’s renovation guidance point and a separate Taide Telttailee -arts event.

Kuukkarin Wanhat Talot (KWT) event takes place on Sunday the 9th of June from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event took place first in the June of 2022, and it was an instant success.

The event visit requires a bracelet, that can be acquired at the café Hellulan Kaffila (at Tuomarinkatu 2, CASH ONLY) or by purchase at Ticketmaster (the ticket will be exchanged to a bracelet at the information desk).
