A maritime national park filled with experiences
Get to know the Pori coast and archipelago in the Bothnian Sea National Park. Stretching from Kustavi in the south to Merikarvia in the north, the park offers maritime travel gems for all tastes and likes. In the public transportation of Pori, summer schedules will be implemented starting Monday, June 3, 2024. The schedules will be released in spring. Changes are expected in routes and departures towards Yyteri, Pormestarinluoto, and Ahlainen.
Tourism in Pori is consistently performing well
The year 2023 was a good year for tourism in Pori. The number of nights stayed in unregistered accommodation establishments (AirBnB and Vrbo) increased, contributing to the growth of accommodation revenue. Additionally, the number of overnight stays by international travelers increased by 10% compared to 2022.

The Luontotalo Arkkis' new exhibition, Unique Yyteri, opens on Thursday, February 8, 2024. The exhibition explores the dune nature of the famous sandy beach located in Pori and its unique features. What kinds of species inhabit the dunes of Yyteri? How are dunes formed? What threatens the dunes, and how are they protected? Answers to these questions and more will be provided.
