Yyteri Visitor Center Is Open for Christmas Holiday Visitors!
After Christmas, it's the perfect time to enjoy the fresh sea air and the magnificent scenery of Yyteri. The Yyteri Visitor Center and its café are open every day from December 27 to January 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Visitor Center is an excellent starting point for a winter excursion.
Did you know that Yyteri has over 30 kilometers of hiking trails? The trails offer a variety of landscapes. The Golf trail takes you along a wide boardwalk between the dunes towards Yyteri Golf, with the Baltic Sea glistening between the dunes. From the Golf trail, you can continue to the Herrainpäivät boardwalk, which offers magnificent views towards the beach. You may even want to continue on to the Herrainpäivät nature trail that circles the Herrainpäivät peninsula.
When you get hungry, the campfire sites in Yyteri offer a great setting for a snack break. The campfire site in Yyteri Square is conveniently located in the courtyard of the visitor center, next to a large free parking lot. The campfire site at Munakarinsäikkä offers magnificent sea views. The scenery is especially beautiful at sunset! The barbecue area is located at the southern end of Yyteri beach and can be reached either by walking along the beach or through the forest from the end of Hiekkarannantie road. Firewood is available at the barbecue areas.
Have you experienced the magic of the dark sandy beach? In the darkness of winter, the atmosphere on the beach is one of peace, relaxation, and silence.
