Pori invites you to the coast – Yyteri and Reposaari join the 100 reasons campaign
The number one domestic tourism campaign 100 reasons to travel in Finland has started again and Pori is participating with two seaside destinations.

Finns are planning to spend their summer 2025 holidays in domestic destinations, according to a recent survey. In addition to convenience, safety, money, places of interest and climate also weigh in the balance. Pori is part of the largest joint campaign for domestic tourism with maritime destinations.
According to a survey* commissioned by Suoma, the Finnish Association of Tourism Organisations, 69% of Finns plan to spend their summer holidays in Finland. People are planning trips to more destinations: 42% of respondents say they will visit at least two different destinations this summer and almost one in four (23%) plan to visit three or more destinations.
– Last year’s survey already identified the love of home as one of the reasons for travelling to Finland. Now, a quarter of respondents felt that their love of their home country had even increased over the past year, says Susanne Rasmus, President of Suoma ry.
All destinations on the same map – Pori on the map for the ninth time
The 100 reasons to travel in Finland campaign, run by Suoma ry, brings together domestic destinations on the 100syytä.fi website. The campaign, which runs from May to August, brings together travel pearls from all over Finland and offers practical tips on food, cities, nature, activities and family destinations.
The revamped site presents destinations on a map, which better brings together both small and large Finnish tourism entrepreneurs and provides a comprehensive overview of destinations across the country.
This year’s campaign features Pori’s tourism gems Yyteri and Reposaari. Yyteri charms visitors with its three kilometres of sandy beach and unique dune landscapes. The Yyteri Visitor Centre, completed last summer, provides up-to-date information on the area’s services and nature, while acting as a gateway to an experiential beach day. Reposaari, an idyllic district of wooden houses by the open sea, offers a unique combination of culture, history and archipelago nature.

– The website has been redesigned in close cooperation with domestic tourist areas and entrepreneurs, and we hope it will better meet the needs of tourists. Visitors to the site will be able to dive into Finland’s unique destinations and the summer’s domestic offerings, Rasmus sums up.
In the summer of 2025, Pori is expecting tourists to be especially interested in maritime experiences. The Yyter Visitor Centre will serve as a gateway to a world of sandy beaches and nature trails, while Reposaari will offer a unique combination of island atmosphere, culture and history.
