The products available at the market include vegetables and berries, fresh fish, flowerpots, clothes, accessories and traditional woven birch baskets. You can sit down at a market cafeteria to enjoy the atmosphere, and a variety of street foods is available to satisfy your appetite. In addition to markets, the Market Square is a venue for events, fairs and flea markets. The Satakieli stage, a renowned meeting place of Pori residents, offers a nice backdrop for diverse performances. The free Angry Birds playground open for everyone is a top favourite among children. Cafe Parlamentti and the fast-food restaurant Hesburger operate in a separate market square building. The market square building also houses toilets, subject to a fee.
The Market Square is the terminal of Pori’s public city transport, and almost all buses stop there. The route of the highly popular city line also goes via the Market Square.
