The open-air swimming pool's summer season begins
Pori's outdoor swimming pool, an essential part of Pori's summer, will open its summer season on 3 June. The Central Swimming Hall closed for the summer break yesterday, 30 May, and will reopen at the end of August.

Yyteri's summer season is underway – the new visitor center opens in July
The preparations for the upcoming summer and the busiest time of the year, in Yyteri, is at full speed. The beach's restroom services are once again available, and new this year, you can charge your electric car at the Yyteri square parking lot. Additionally, the walking bridge, Golflankonki, which was renovated last fall to be more accessible, guides outdoor enthusiasts parallel to the beach from Yyteri Hotel towards Herrainpäivät. The most visible new feature is the new Yyteri Visitor Center being built at Yyteri square, which will open its doors at the beginning of July.
European Route of Industrial Heritage is opened in Satakunta for cultural travel
European Route of Industrial Heritage ERIH will add a large group new of Finnish destinations to itself. For the province of Satakunta this is remarkable news, for the province has five industrial heritage destinations, which will open Finland’s first official ERIH Regional Route in Satakunta today, May 17th, 2024.

It is now official: the second phase of Jokikeskus (river centre) of Pori is being finished and you can admire it from May 1st forwards as most of the region will be opened to the public. Many of the services in the region will also open and prepare themselves for the coming summer season in a revised environment.
